This year, even the Blizzard Juno couldn’t stop the spirit of St. Francis Xavier School! After a few days off of school, we all returned to a re-schedule of Catholic Schools Week events and fun!
Thank you to the School Events Committee, our student ambassadors and parent volunteers who came to welcome new families to our Open House, all our guest parent readers and student reading buddies, the teachers for taking on the classroom door decorating contest with zeal, all our families for sending in your family portraits to adorn our hallways, and all who helped to make this year’s Catholic Schools Week so memorable.
Highlights included the Toe Jam Puppet Band, Mad Science assemblies we were able to enjoy thanks to winnings from the Acushnet Creamery’s “Favorite School” contest, the “Souper Bowl” challenge, our grand finale assembly, and of course we are so proud of our 7th and 8th graders who brought home the championship at the Greater New Bedford Catholic Schools Challenge at Bishop Stang High School! God bless you all! Enjoy highlight pictures below…
